Penza, 6 September 2012. PenzaNews. The cost of poultry in Penza, which is the highest among all the regional centers of Privolzhsky (Volga) Federal District, increased again in the past few weeks.

Currently, 1 kg of poultry costs 115,69 rubles, which is about 2 rubles more than a week ago, and 21 rubles more than in the early summer of 2012. In Saransk and Kazan the price does not exceed 100 rubles at the moment.

In addition, according to the official data, during the previous week salt has risen in price by 20 kopecks in Penza, which resulted in the region losing its leadership in the district on the cheapness of the product, which had been held for three months.

Sugar fell in price by 2 rubles during the last week, and now costs 28,32 rubles per 1 kg. This is the lowest price in Privolzhsky (Volga) Federal District.

According to the low price of sausage, butter, pasta, buckwheat and onions, Penza has been keeping the leadership in the area for several weeks.
