Penza, 27 September 2012. PenzaNews. During this year average consumption of the Internet resource in the Volga region MegaFon increased by 1,5 times, and the average price for the service declined by 10%.

According to August data, more than 4,1 million customers of the Volga region MegaFon, which makes 30% of all the customers of the company use mobile data transmission services. Their number increased by 1,2 times during the year.

“In 2009, we launched the third generation network in the Volga region. Since that time, the era of the mobile Internet as accessible and popular service began. In three years, the average consumption of our network grew by 46 times. More than 95% of the Internet traffic is transmitted over 3G network. This year, we started providing the mobile Internet of the fourth generation in three cities of the Volga region — Samara, Ufa and Kazan,” pointed out the director of the Volga branch of OJSC MegaFon Alexander Grigoriev.
