The event was dedicated to plant growth campaign audit, successes and failures of vital 2014 regional campaigns, and preparation to spring field plowing season.

“The Penza region is successfully implementing the project that aims to create logistics centers for potato, vegetable, fruit and other production facilities during 2014-2016. “The project provides for new potato and vegetable storages that are able to keep up to 10.4 thousand tons of food each yearly. JSC ‘Penaovoschprom’ has upgraded the 4 thousand ton vegetable storage in the Lopatino area,” Andrei Burlakov noted.

As per his words, plantation areas for legumes and beans will reach 685.5 thousand ha, which is 22% above the 2014 levels, while the region will have reserved 40.6 thousand ha for seed corn (+3%), 159.1 thousand ha for sunflower, 42.3 thousand ha for sugar beet, and 53.3 thousand ha for oil seed (+35%).
