Penza, 22 May 2015. PenzaNews. The successful implementation of the investment project “‘Penzensky’ Car Tourism Cluster” will allow to increase the numbers of car tourism related enterprises by 1.5 times, and boost the volume of related services by 70%, announced the deputy chairman of the regional government Sergei Pulikovsky at the meeting with the regional businessmen dedicated to Russian Entrepreneurship Day held at “Rameev” technopark on Friday, May 22.

“Today, we must think not only of the spiritual and cultural area, but also about the ways to make our tourism industry economically stronger. Tourism is one of the points of growth of the regional economy, new jobs and improved taxes. However, we must realize that car tourism must be accessible enough for the majority,” he said.

In 2014, the Penza region started implementing the first stage of the project for a total cost of 5 billion 750 million rubles, and currently the car tourism cluster is comprised of 29 investment locations, with seven of them already in development, the vice-mayor explained.

According to him, the project is financed both by the businessmen themselves and from the federal and regional budgets.

“The project is 25% financed from the federal budget, 6% from the regional one, and 69% from private sources,” Sergei Pulikovsky clarified.

As part of the project, the investors will be able to develop the tourism-related facilities and create transportation, engineering, communication, pipeline, power and heat infrastructure connections using affordable prices, reports the press service of the Penza region government.
