They will undertake a full-complex analysis of enterprises in the cluster, including their technological and production potential, and current trends of foreign and Russian markets for medical products and substances.
“This analysis will result in a list of prospective market niches and priority development project for enterprises in the cluster that aim to both increase the share of Penza medical producers on the Russian market and realize their export potential,” he said.
Import replacement policy will be the main priority, Sergei Evdokimov added.
In his turn, Sergei Matyukin, deputy general director at the Center of Cluster Development, pointed out that forming the best intra-cluster connections between the enterprises will be an important task during the program development process.
“We will be able to see how the added costs of the cluster-made products are forming. This planning will ensure sufficiency of all required production and sales stages, down from research, development and production and up to sales and promotion. This creates synergy within the cluster and reduces expenses,” he clarified.
The experts plan to present the development program to the enterprises of the cluster “Biomed” in late September.
The Penza cluster “Biomed” is a group of enterprises specializing in biomedical products, supply of medical tools, equipment and spare parts, pharmaceuticals and additives, dedicated service and industry services, as well as research an education in the medical field, all concentrated within the region.
The cluster currently unites 27 organizations.
