“We must check the use of machines bought by ‘Agrokholding’ [‘Oblastnoy Agropromyshlenny Kholding’] and given to producers,” said the head of the region during the meeting session of the Penza region government on Monday, September 28.
The governor added he received information about some businessmen who refuse to pay taxes off their profits even when using state-provided machinery.
As a result, Ivan Belozertsev urged the authorities to hold checks in the next two weeks.
“We must check where the machines are, where are they employed, whether the producers pay rent,” he clarified.
According to the governor, a situation where the businessmen “earn great money but do not pay rent” is particularly unacceptable in the currently difficult economic situation.
If any such businessmen will be unveiled during the audit, the authorities may consider putting the machinery up for an auction for the startup farming enterprises rather than give it to large holdings, Ivan Belozertsev added.
