Penza, 17 December 2015. PenzaNews. The work of the Center of Cluster Development to promote activity of the Penza region clusters, including the biomedical cluster, has proven effective, suggested Mikhail Udalov, head of the Innovation Policy Management Department in the regional Industry Ministry, during the press conference held at “Rameev” technopark on Thursday, December 17.

He reminded that the clusters together with the Center began the process of inviting skilled professionals to the region to help “Biomed” staff understand the nuances of releasing new production on the market.
“The fact that a whole number of items received and are receiving their registration certificates proves we did that right. The number of successful items grew significantly over the past year,” he stressed.
Pavel Udalov also pointed out that the Penza region is the sole shareholder of the company and uses the regional funds and federal assistance to help cluster enterprises take a niche in other markets, including abroad.
Answering the question about the kind of 2016 support for the biomedical cluster that presented its new R&D results at the recent press conference, he struggled to name the exact sum but said the regional budget plans to allocate 9-10 million rubles for innovation development.
“But we also plan to attract federal funding to expand this sum. I think it will increase by 2-3 times,” Pavel Udalov said.
