Leroy Merlin to begin selling Penza-made goods

Penza, 29 April 2016. PenzaNews. Leroy Merlin will begin receiving shipments of Penza-made goods for sale, in accordance to the agreement reached during the meeting held at the regional Industry Ministry on Thursday, April 28.

“The meeting was held between representatives of Leroy Merlin East and regional enterprises,” the press service of the regional Ministry of Industry informed PenzaNews agency.
According to them, there are plans to expand mutual cooperation further later on, and later meetings will be dedicated to the issues related to expanding the list of goods for resale.
Leroy Merlin (Lerua Merlen in Russia) is an international retailer of goods for home, dacha and garden construction and decoration.
The company was founded in 1923 in Northern France. Currently, it holds the top position in Europe in sales volumes.
The first Leroy Merlin store in Russia opened the doors in Mytishchi city in 2004. At present, the company owns more than 40 hypermarkets in 20 Russian cities.
The Leroy Merlin hypermarket in Penza was built over a very short timespan: its construction began in March 2015, and the store opened shortly after in December.
