Penza, 31 January 2017. PenzaNews. The contracting organizations that are going to take part in the tender for repair of roads in the Penza region, prepared 38.7% of bitumen and 18.3% of the required quantity of macadam. This was reported by the head of the state public institution "Department of construction and road infrastructure of the Penza region" Vasily Glagolev.

"The whole need for construction materials in the Penza region amounts to: 50,356 tons of bitumen, [...] 500,954 tons of macadam," he said during the meeting devoted to the realization of the project "Safe roads of high-quality" and to application of funds of the road fund, held in the regional government on Tuesday, January 31.

Vasily Glagolev noted that at present the average cost of macadam is 1,317 rubles per ton, at the same time, it is expected that in summer the price will amount up to 1,500 rubles.

"The total cost of the needed macadam is 659.75 million rubles, and in summer period the estimated price will amount to 751 million," he emphasized.
According to the head of the institution, the average price of bitumen is 11,650 rubles per ton.

"It is expected that in summer the price will reach 13,500 rubles. The total cost of the needed bitumen is 586.65 million rubles. In summer the price will amount to 679.8 million rubles," he added.
