Orhan Novruzov heads Penza Region Foreign Students Association

Penza, 27 February 2016. PenzaNews. Orhan Novruzov, fifth-year student of the Penza State University from Azerbaijan, has been elected the chairman of the regional Association of Foreign Students during the 2nd report and election conference of the organization that was held at the PSU on Friday, February 26.

It brought together 33 delegates from 25 countries of the world that are currently studying in Penza region universities.
The conference began with a speech by Sergei Vasin, PSU dean for international activity, who stressed the importance of the Association and the importance for cooperation between the students and universities’ administrations.
In turn, Adu Yao Nikez, chairman of the Association of Foreign Students of Russia, honorable guest of the event, wished the audience to choose a tolerant and outspoken leader who would be able to represent the students and resolve difficult tasks with diplomacy.
As a result, Orhan Novruzov was elected by the majority of the vote.
According to the PSU website, the first chairman of the Penza Region Association of Foreign Students was Mahamat Kishine from Chad, elected in 2013.
The Penza Region Association of Foreign Students is a branch of the countrywide Association, based in Penza. It seeks to provide support and aid in implementation of the socially significant initiatives by students who come from abroad.
