The event is one of the areas under the Rosnano Infrastructure and Educational Programs Foundation program “Workshops of Innovations.”
The main objective of “Workshops of Innovations” program is to attract the students to teach science to children of their age and younger in an easy-to-grasp form, Larisa Matyukhina, head of the youth innovative programs of the Penza regional business incubators union, told PenzaNews.
“‘Nanofest’ is designed for students of senior school grades and universities. We offered the universities to take part in the festival, and received active feedback from the PSU [the Penza State University] and PenzGTU [the Penza State Technological University],” she said.
The festival will feature workshops by lecturers from Moscow and Samara, as well as the education game “21st Century Professionals” based on the “Atlas of New Professions” almanac.
“Choosing a profession is one of the most widespread problems for senior school students. […] During the game, the children will develop their projects in an interactive fashion and determine what field attracts them the most. They will form teams and complete the tasks they receive from the game masters,” Larisa Matyukhina explained.
Moreover, she added, the event agenda features a meeting of representatives of the Penza region government, the regional Industry Ministry, and the universities, dedicated to holding similar events in the future.
The first “Nanofest” lecture, “Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies Today,” will take place at 14.00 of Tuesday, March 29.
