Penza, 27 March 2012. PenzaNews. Investigating authorities of IC of the Russian Federation for the Penza region accused former Minister of Agriculture of the region Marat Faizov under item "в" part 5 Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Large size bribe received.” "According to investigation, on March 20, 2012 the accused, being in a car on a highway “Saratov — Nizhny Novgorod” near Kolyshley of the Penza region, received 200 thousand roubles bribe from the chief of the company," reported Maria Orlova, acting senior specialist on interaction with mass media of regional Office of IC of the Russian Federation.

"Illegal compensation was received for general protection and illegal actions of heads of the company business activity, contracts placement and execution concerning vegetables growing," she added.

Maria Orlova noted that at the moment of bribe receiving the accused was caught red-handed by employees of the regional Office of Investigatory Committee of Russia.

"The accused is imprisoned. Complex investigation proceeds," the spokesman specified.
