Penza, 27 March 2012. PenzaNews. Investigating authorities of Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation for the Penza region initiated the criminal case concerning two employees of Penza Office of Interior Ministry of Russia, suspected of fraud attempt.

"According to investigation the suspected, using their official position, by deceit and fraud misled the local resident saying that they could not initiated the criminal case on the statement of rape. They demanded to transfer 50 thousand roubles for solving the problem," reported Maria Orlova, acting senior specialist on interaction with mass media of regional Office of IC of the Russian Federation.

She specified that on March 20, 2012 the young man, being in the police department, transferred to employees 10 thousand roubles and next day the rest 40 thousand rubles.

"While transferring money the policemen were caught red-handed by employees of the regional government of FSS, IC Russian Federation and Interior Ministry," said the spokeswoman.

According to her, due to the fact that suspects cooperate with investigating authorities and the sentence hasn’t been chosen yet.

"Indictment is under consideration. Investigation of the criminal case proceeds," added Maria Orlova.
