Penza, 24 May 2012. PenzaNews. A resident of Penza consulted doctor complaining of intoxication as a result of odorant leakage which had happened at the scrap yard in Tcherkasov Street on Wednesday morning, May 23.
“Toxicologists examined the woman, the diagnosis was not confirmed,” reported in the press service of Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Penza region.
As it was reported earlier, in the evening on Tuesday, May 22, two tightly closed vessels were brought to a scrap yard in Tcherkasov Street. Next morning while sawing one of the vessels the liquid poured out from it and there was a pungent gas smell in the air.
Specialists found out that the substance was a special additive “odorant” which is usually added to gases that have no odor. All the liquid was taken out from the scene for utilization.
Nobody suffered as a result of the incident.
