Penza, 26 September 2014. PenzaNews. A 64-year-old resident of Penza, believing TV advertised services of diagnostics and treatment from afar, was tricked.

“Pensioner explained that she saw the ad while watching TV show Parapsychology. She called the indicated telephone number — a woman answered and introduced herself as an employee of the center of clairvoyance and parapsychology and offered her health diagnosis course. The victim transferred to the unknown 436 thousand rubles for these services during the period from 11 to 15 of September,” the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The ministry explained that currently the case of fraud is verified — the police are taking steps to identify those involved in the crime.

The press service also noted that, according to the victim, she had heard of such fraud, but, nevertheless, believed the promises of a stranger.
