Penza, 2 February 2015. PenzaNews. A resident of the Nizhny Lomov area of the Penza region, 22, became a victim of a scam trying to buy an Audi TT car for 130,000 rubles through an online offer.

“She exchanged e-mails with the author of the ad, who introduced himself as a citizen of France, and agreed on the purchase of the car. The woman transferred 135,000 rubles to the person’s account, but did not receive her car afterwards,” the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs commented for PenzaNews agency.

According to officials, the police have launched an investigation of the fraud.

“The police are establishing the identities of people involved in the case,” said the press service.
