Penza woman, 84, paid 560,000 for “eternal life vaccine”

Penza, 24 February 2015. PenzaNews. A Penza woman, 84, lost her money to phone scammers who offered her to buy an “eternal life vaccine.”

“An unknown person called her home phone number, and introduced himself as a member of the ‘Supreme Medicine Laboratory’ from St. Petersburg. He told the elderly woman about her impending death, and said she could buy an ‘eternal life vaccine’ for 560 thousand rubles to delay her demise. Following his instructions, the woman transferred a sum to the designated mobile phone number with the help of a bank operator,” the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs informed PenzaNews agency.

According to them, the incident is being investigated.

“The police are working on identifying the culprits,” said the press service.
