Penza fraudster charged pensioner 125,000 rubles for “removing hex”

Penza, 20 March 2015. PenzaNews. A Penza resident, 66, was tricked by a fraudster who promised to remove a bad luck spell for a fee.

The stranger with Slavic facial features approached the elderly woman on Komsomolskaya street, the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs department informed PenzaNews agency.

“She took 125,000 rubles from the passer-by under the pretext of removing a hex,” the department spokesperson explained.

The police added that the suspect looked 50-55 years old, 160-170 cm tall, and was wearing a dark down jacket and dark duffel hat.

“The police are currently investigating the fraud and taking steps to identify and detain the woman,” the press service said.
