Penza, 18 February 2016. PenzaNews. The police are investigating the death of an arrested man in an isolation cell in the Gorodische area of the Penza region.

“The citizen, who had been arrested with robbery charges, hanged himself on a towel in the isolation cell in the afternoon of Wednesday, February 17,” the press service of the regional Ministry of the Interior department informed PenzaNews agency.

The man had been placed in the isolation cell on February 15, they explained.

“The check will analyze the activities of the isolation ward staff,” the press service added.
