Penza city bus catches fire in early morning

Penza, 3 August 2016. PenzaNews. A bus working on the Penza route 82C caught on fire next to the “Puteprovod” bus stop on 8 Marta street in the morning of Wednesday, August 3, Anna Shupilova, head of information and public relations division of the main EMERCOM department in the Penza region, informed PenzaNews.

“We received the report about the bus fire at 8.44. The people were quickly evacuated,” she clarified.

According to her, the fire destroyed the engine and damaged the roof of the vehicle.

“It took two fire dispatches to extinguish the flames. The incident has been dealt with by now,” Anna Shupilova added.

The circumstances leading to the fire are yet to be discovered, she noted.
