Mass Media: Wrestling coach among dead of alcohol poisoning in Kuznetsk

Penza, 21 November 2016. PenzaNews. The coach-instructor of the children and youth sports school No.2 in Kuznetsk of the Penza region Andrey Ageev was among those three men who died of alcohol poisoning on Monday, November 21. This was reported by the “Penzenskaya pravda” newspaper referring to the director of the children and youth sports school No.2 Konstantin Salkevich.

“He was master of sport in Graeco-Roman wrestling, a perspective coach of the first division. In a week he was about to apply for the highest division. Many his pupils are talented children who show great promise,” the newspaper quotes the head of the sports school.
As it was reported earlier, on November 20, a group of more than 10 people was celebrating a birthday in one of cafes in the city of Kuznetsk of the Penza region. During the celebration people consumed alcohol-containing products.
On the night of November 21, those who were in the café felt unwell. As a result, 11 people were hospitalized, three men among them, born 1977, 1981, 1986, died.
A criminal case was opened on the incident under Part 3, Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Production, storage, transportation and trade in goods or products, work or service delivery that do not correspond to safety requirements”.
During the inspection, officers confiscated alcohol containing products and called for expert evidence.
Several patients were sent from the Kuznetsk hospital to the toxicological department of the Zakharyin Penza clinical hospital No.6.
