The opportunity opened after the buildings were connected to the company’s FTTB (Fiber To The Building) optic network.
Residents of six buildings will be the first to enjoy them in 2016, and the flats in two of them – on Novoselov street, 110 and 112 – are already getting people to live there.
According to the service provider, the data infrastructure project proceeds in accordance with the real estate production.
The first stage of the project involved placing down a 2.2-km fiber data cable pipeline with 3.5 km of fiber leading from the distribution junction by the M5 “Ural” federal highway to the residential area proper.
During the second stage, the company installed and completed seven Internet access nodes in the entryways of the apartment buildings, with two more in plans as the houses will be getting ready for their residents.
The modern fiber optic technology allows to use a single cable for a full range of the company’s data services – digital telephony, “Interactive TV” with a wide range of additional options such as “Watch Control,” “Video Rental,” “Multiscreen” and “Parent Control,” and high-speed Internet access for up to 100 Mbps.
Rostelecom will be developing its data infrastructure in Zarya in several stages as new apartment buildings and socially crucial institutions will be appearing, the director of the company’s Penza branch Lev Dyatlov informed PenzaNews.
“The residents of the newly-built houses, likely former users of old dial-up services, will be able to enjoy cutting-edge fiber optic services and options very soon,” he stressed.
At the same time, current Rostelecom clients can enjoy significant savings by signing up for a 3-in-1 package of Internet, telephony and interactive TV services via the phone number 8-800-100-0-800 or visiting the service provider’s website.
