“We held five full financing and material activity revisions over 2015 – in Lunino, Kolyshley, Neverkino, in the oncology treatment center, and in the blood transfusion center. There were 26 checks for various areas of financial and material activity, with results referred to and used by the law enforcement. […] The violations resulted in administrative fines and layoffs in the top managerial staff of the institutions,” he stressed.

Moreover, according to the minister, another failure of the healthcare institution lies in their ineffective use of the funds which were spent on fines and delayed payment fees.

“These spendings amounted to 14.6 million rubles in 2015,” Vladimir Stryuchkov clarified.

As the Health Ministry head explained, they held 48 checks, including 15 on corruption facts, based on reports by citizens.

“Nine of them resulted in information referred to the law enforcement for required reaction. I would like to highlight the reports by citizens on money extortion for medical services by the medical staff,” he pointed out.

According to the minister, most of the reports on extortion facts came from the citizens of the Gorodische, Zemetchino and Serdobsk areas, as well as from visitors of the regional Filatov children’s hospital, the city dentistry clinic, the Penza maternity clinic, and the oncology treatment center.
