Vasily Bochkarev in top ten of rating of information openness again

Penza, 1 March 2012. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev took 9th place in a rating of information openness of heads of the regions, made by “National Service of Monitoring” together with “Institute of Independent Political Researches” in February, 2012. As news agency “PenzaNews,” reported earlier in January he took occupied 28th place, following the results of 2011 he was on the third place.

As the general director of “Institute of Independent Political Researches” Alexander Ulitin explained, the governor of the Astrakhan region Alexander Zhilkin became the leader of a February media rating mainly because of comments on the collapse of apartment house in Astrakhan after explosion of household gas.
“The head of Ingushetia Junus-Bek Evkurov who is on the second place was popular in mass-media because he blamed agents of national security of republic of kidnappings at the forum of legal specialists in Nazran,” the spokesman said.
According to Alexander Ulitin, amid possible returning of direct elections of the heads of subjects openness in mass-media will become one of key resources of the Russian governors and degree of this openness can help to estimate their activity as the head of the region.
“In turn, there can appear cause effect relationship between information closeness and resignation of the governor in future,” said the general director of “Institute of Independent Political Researches.”
