Penza took 16th place on index of opposition in Russia

Penza, 12 March 2012. PenzaNews. Penza city took 16th place in the list of 37 big cities of Russia on an index of opposition which totaled 54.21.

In a rating “dislike for authorities,” made by the magazine “Kommersant Vlast,” Vladivostok is leading with an index 122.51. Makhachkala received the greatest positive index 214.7.
Analysts investigated the results of votes according to the federal level since 2000 in 37 cities with more than 500 thousand people population. For every city the difference between the result of the representative authorities in power (Vladimir Putin or Dmitry Medvedev on presidential election or “United Russia” on parliamentary ones) was calculated in comparison with federal result.
According to received data, the majority of big cities (29 cities or 78%) appeared considerably oppositional. Two indicators are about average in the country and only six complacently related to power authorities for the last 12 years.
