Penza, 27 September 2012. PenzaNews. The drunk driver, who killed seven people in Minskaya St. in Moscow, represents the sickness of our society. This was declared by the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of Russia on security and anti-corruption, a member of the Communist Party, Viktor Cherkesov during a meeting with journalists at the press center of news agency PenzaNews on Thursday, September 27.

“Of course, this kind of accidents happens by coincidence. That is behavior of the person, technical capabilities of the car, sometimes the weather, but it is a terrible crime — a symbol of how the country collapsed in the consciousness of every individual,” Viktor Cherkesov said.
“This man, as it turns out, was repeatedly arrested for traffic violations, had previously hit a man with a car, but the cases were somehow closed. In every sense, this person is completely insignificant, but he, unfortunately, is surrounded by a not completely healthy society,” the deputy said.
According to him, the incident on Minskaya St. in Moscow can be put in one row with the major man-made disasters.
“We have accidents with hydropower, we have plane crashes, and then it turns out that the pilot was drunk. It is all beyond control because almost no one is responsible for anything,” summed up the agency interlocutor.
