In March, the head of the region was in the spotlight of 1,884 publications and his media index amounted to 2,421.76 points. A month later, Vasily Bochkarev appeared in 1,995 media reports and his media rating reached 3,275.94 points.

This allowed him taking the 5th place among the governors of the Volga Federal District, climbing three lines up in this list compared to the previous month.

The change in the media rating of Vasily Bochkarev within the Volga Federal District regional heads’ list has become one of the most notable, along with the strengthened positions of the Saratov region governor Valery Radaev and the Orenburg region head Yuri Berg.

Medialogia, a Russian research company, compiles ratings based on media index, a qualitative indicator of information field attitude towards a company, brand or person.

The rating evaluates news source influence, positive or negative type of reference, its importance in the context, as well as composure of text, including direct and indirect speech content.

The higher the index, the more positive the object is represented in the media.

Through this strategy, Medialogia evaluates the overall friendliness level of media towards the object over a certain period of time via combining indices of all references.

The rating uses a media database of over 24,000 influential sources, such as TV and radio stations, newspapers, magazines, news agencies and websites.
