The principal of the Penza State University Alexander Gulyakov, the head of Penza Viktor Kuvaytsev, mayor Yuri Krivov, and the deputy envoy in the Volga Federal District Oleg Melnichenko, allegedly summoned to the Presidential Administration for May 22, according to sources of the news agency “Regnum,” due to the statement of the governor Vasily Bochkarev about his intention to abstain from running for one more term, do not intend to do so.

The reporters of PenzaNews agency contacted the secretariate of the deputy envoy in the Volga Federal District Oleg Melnichenko and learned that “he is in the office” and cancelled two planned Friday visits, both to Moscow and Penza.
The Penza region Legislative Assembly chairman Ivan Belozertsev, secretary of the regional United Russia party branch, who allegedly “has already visited Staraya square” as a potential candidate for the Penza region governor, according to the news agency “Regnum,” is currently on official vacation.
Based on the information provided at the regional Parliament, Ivan Belozertsev should return to work next week, and has planned to visit Kazan on May 29 to take part in the session of the Association of Legislative (Representative) Authority Bodies of the Volga Federal District.
