Penza, 25 May 2015. PenzaNews. The chairman of the Penza region Legislative Assembly Ivan Belozertsev was appointed as the acting governor of the Penza region until the new elections, according to the decree signed by the Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, May 25.

The decree was made due to the end of term of Vasily Bochkarev, says the Kremlin website.

Vasily Bochkarev headed the region since 1998.
