Penza, 17 September 2015. PenzaNews. Sergei Kazakov, artistic director of the theater, Distinguished Artist of Russia, regional Legislative Assembly deputy, Presidential trustee, was placed in the list of persons barred from entering Ukrained.

According to the federal media, on Wednesday, September 16, the Ukrainian President Petr (Petro) Poroshenko signed the decree of the country’s National Security and Defense Council on expanding sanctions against Russia. The document introduces a list of 388 persons and 105 legal entities, including politicians, officials, journalists and people of culture, who will be subject to sanctions.

The official note to the decree says they “pose a threat to security and territorial integrity of Ukraine, its national interests, development of rights and freedoms.”

Sergei Kazakov himself already commented on the sanctions against him.

“Barred from Ukraine. There you go – international recognition. And, placed among such people as [the Russian Minister of Security Sergei] Shoygu, academicians. That’s great! I’m actually glad!” he tweeted in the morning of Thursday, September 17.
