Penza, 5 September 2016. PenzaNews. Number of appeals addressed to the mayor of Penza Victor Kuvaytsev from citizens outraged by the abundance of campaign materials on light poles, bus stops and house entrances, increased significantly, the press service of the city administration told PenzaNews.

The mayor's office added that Penza residents were especially bothered by the spoiled walls, doors and entrances, since it is almost impossible to clear the leaflets off them without damaging the surface.
“In this regard, the head of city administration Victor Kuvaytsev sent a letter to the Regional Electoral Commission demanding to investigate these facts concerning all registered candidates and electoral parties, to warn them not to violate the electoral legislation of the Russian Federation and the rules of beautification, cleanliness and order in Penza, and if necessary to take measures within the powers conferred,” the press service said.
