Penza, 20 December 2021. PenzaNews. Governor of Penza region Oleg Melnichenko announced gratitude to Vice-Governor Sergei Fedotov, who refused a bribe in the amount of 3 million roubles, offered to him by an official of the Kamensky area administration for assisting her in winning the competition for the position of the head of the regional administration.

“Sergei Valerievich Fedotov, I announce gratitude to you for your principled position on these issues and for the fact that you immediately informed me when this [...], so to speak, attempt to put you on a corrupt track took place,” Oleg Melnichenko said during an operational meeting held in the regional government on Monday, December 20.

“Today [we will sign] a decree declaring gratitude. [...] You will [receive] an additional bonus at the end of the year for your principled position on this issue,” he added.
