They will stay in the cathedral until 12.00 of Monday, July 4, the press service of the Penza diocese told PenzaNews.

“Their relics are worshipped by Christians throughout the world, and many stories tell of their wonder-making power. For example, Mary Magdalene cures hearts, nerves and cancer. The Bible tells that Mary Magdalene witnessed the Resurrection of Christ when she came to his body with oils. Relics of saint brothers unmercenaries Kosma and Damian also contain wondermaking power. They cure heart and locomotor diseases and purge demons. They received their gift from the God, and used it to cure men and animals with no pay. They are said to have cured even the worst diseases,” the Penza diocese noted.
