Penza, 7 October 2016. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza region, Ivan Belozertsev demanded to accelerate the construction of the Savior Cathedral.

“If we work at the present pace, we shall not see the final result. Let us speed up the process,” he said during a working meeting held on Thursday, October 6.

The Governor stressed that the finishing works inside the Savior Cathedral need to be organized urgently.

“To do this, cover the construction site around the perimeter, insulate the rooms for the winter season, connect heating and electricity for the builders to have comfortable working conditions,” Ivan Belozertsev.

The head of the region also instructed to ensure uninterrupted operation of the teams doing the finishing works — before the onset of spring, they should focus on the creation of the interiors of the cathedral.

Currently, the facility has fully plastered walls, painted central parts of domes and almost complete rooftop. The finishing work on the facade and installation of decorative elements on the exterior walls of the cathedral are ongoing. On the ground floor, the power line is laid, in the central part of the temple the wiring is also finished, the press service of the regional government informs.
