Penza, 27 January 2012. PenzaNews. 7 850 references from children and their parents were received through children’s telephone hotline in the Penza region in 2011.

According to Tatyana Manuhina, the head of the press-service of Ministry of Health and Social development of region, 59.9 % of calls were children and teenagers’ references, 15.3 % — from parents and the persons replacing them, 24.8 % — from other categories of citizens.

“Children and teenagers often ask questions concerning relations with contemporaries. The majority of parents or persons them replacing are interested in relations between children and adults,” she explained.

The representative of the department has added that 44 calls were about cruel treatment, 68 % of these cases happened among contemporaries and 32 % cases were in a family.

“In January, 2012 one more telephone line will render emergency psychological and pedagogical help to children. All-Russian telephone number is 8 800 2000 122,” the interlocutor of the agency summarized.
