Penza, 1 March 2012. PenzaNews. The digital small-dose photoroentgenograph arrived in the central hospital of Zemetchinsky area of the Penza region within the bounds of the program “Public health services modernization for 2011-2012 years.”

“Main difference of digital photoroentgenography from film one is the possibility of digital processing of the received images with application of the special software. The possibility of the rejected pictures reception is absolutely excluded working on the digital photoroentgenography. The digital processing allows to investigate various fabrics in one picture, changing “rigidity” of images. Thus, one digital picture allows to receive the same quantity of the information as the whole series of the film pictures made with a different exposition,” informed the press service of the regional administration.

The software allows to raise clearness and contrast of pictures, to allocate fabric structures, to zoom an interesting fragment, to take measures on the computer screen.

“Besides, digital photoroentgenographies allow to lower an irradiation dose in comparison with film photoroentgenography in 8-10 times,” they added in the press service.
