Penza, 26 April 2012. PenzaNews. Public transport fare in Penza which will be increased since April 30 will be one of the highest in Volga Federal District.

As it was reported earlier, transport fare with the use of microprocessor plastic cards “Preferential transport card of Penza resident” and “Transport card of Penza resident” in high-capacity buses and trolleybuses will be 13 rubles, in case of cash payment it will be 16 rubles.

According to Maristat data, more expensive fare is only in Kazan — 17.20 rubles.

Fare in buses and trolleybuses in Samara is 15 rubles, that is 1 ruble cheaper than it will be in Penza.

In 12 regions the price varies from 8 to 15 rubles. The lowest bus fare is in Saratov and Orenburg — 10 rubles and trolleybus fare is the lowest in Orenburg — 8 rubles.

Currently, the cost of a bus trip in Penza is 11 rubles, a trolleybus trip costs 10 rubles.
