Penza, 24 May 2012. PenzaNews. More than 500 policemen will secure safety on Day of Farewell Bell at schools of the Penza region on Friday, May 25. The deputy chief of Office of the Interior Ministry of Russia for the Penza region colonel of police Nikolay Sarmin reported about it during a briefing on May 24.

According to Nikolay Sarmin, the holiday will be held in 489 schools, more than 17 thousand graduates will take part in it.

“The program of festive events was approved by school administration and parental committee. The police recommended to organize Farewell Bell holiday on the territory of educational institutions only and forbid drinking alcoholic beverages. It was recommended to limit alcohol sale, including beer and tobacco products from 6 a.m. May 25 till 6 a.m. May 26,” informed the colonel of police.

He emphasized that the policemen will inspect schools using special means and service dogs trained to search for explosives before the celebration begins.

“Patrol and inspection squads will be on duty from 6 p.m. till 3 a.m,” said the deputy chief of regional police office.
