Penza, 29 May 2012. PenzaNews. The head of the city of Penza Ivan Belozertsev made a proposal to extend the lease to the local beaches for 10 years. He said this during the workshop of Governor Vasily Bochkarev, on Tuesday, May 29.
“We came to this decision after consulting with the head of the administration, Roman Chernov, and taking into consideration the point of view of the local businessmen,” said Ivan Belozertsev.
In addition, during the meeting the mayor announced the results of the inspection tour of the beaches taken one day before, noting that only one of six recreation areas existing in Penza was in a satisfactory condition — the beach in the area SBP-24 (State Bearing Plant).
“This beach is an annual rent, and will be ready to welcome the vacationers in about a week. Right now it already has toilets, dressing rooms, sand and two volleyball courts. Almost the entire territory of the beach is cleared of debris,” Ivan Belozertsev stated.
He noted that the biggest problem arose with the beach in the city hospital named after G.A. Zakharyin in Arbekovo.
“This area is not private. We held tenders, but no one took interest. At present re-evaluation and renegotiation of the conditions of beach rent is conducted. It was decided to lease out the beach for a period of 5 to 10 years for the businessman to have confidence in the payback,” said Ivan Belozertsev.
He added that until a tenant is found, the beach in Arbekovo is to be transferred to the balance sheet of municipal enterprise “Zelenoe Khozyaystvo” (Green Farm) that has already set about to improvement measures within the area.
