Penza, 21 June 2012. PenzaNews. 433 drivers, who were intoxicated or refused to undergo examination, were detained by the police in the Penza region during the operation “Drunk Driver.”

“In addition, 550 traffic violations committed by drivers of motorcycles and similar vehicles, including 39 cases related to driving intoxicated, were prevented,” added the press service of the Traffic police of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region.

The department stated that during the operation 10 accidents caused by intoxicated drivers were registered. It accounted for 13.1% of the total number of traffic accidents. 11 people got injuries of various degrees of severity.

“Deaths were not registered,” pointed out the press service.
