Members of the volunteer fire brigade consisting of students of the Russian State University of Innovation Technologies and Business, and the staff of the main Emergency Ministry of the Penza region prepared a special program for campers.
According to the Head of the Regional Management of Emergency Ministry Sergey Petrunin, the campers took part in extinguishing the nominal fire source, which was a bucket of burning diesel fuel, and then examined the fire-truck equipment, answered various quizzes, and competed in a race.
“The main purpose of such activities is to teach children to follow fire safety regulation, to be conscious about the fire. Besides, it’s a remarkable event for the children – they get an opportunity to act as a fire brigade, to touch everything with their own hands,” noted the agency interlocutor.
In his turn, a member of the volunteer fire brigade Dmitry Muratov pointed out that it is the 5th such event this year held in Penza.
“The next step we plan is to visit rural schools of different districts of the region,” he added.
