Penza 89% ready for cold season

Penza, 29 August 2014. PenzaNews. Penza housing complex is 89% ready for the upcoming cold season, the officials reported during the 65th regular session of the Penza City Duma that was held on Friday, August 29. According to Nikolai Zavodovsky, deputy Penza administration chief, all the preparatory work is carried out as planned.

“’TGC-6’ is completing the overhaul in M. Gorky and Chkalova streets. ‘Teplosnabzhenie’ is around 79% ready. They plan to finish repairing their facilities on September 10-15. Company ‘SCM Energoservis’ is 70% ready, there are no delays,” he said.
After the report of the vice mayor, mayor Yuri Alpatov stressed the importance to do everything possible to ensure that Penza residents will not be left without central heating in the cold season.
“If there are any abandoned heating pipelines, they should be financed, and a contractor must be found to fix them. Find out what is the state of the heating main in Okruzhnaya Street and take action,” he said.
Yuri Alpatov, on behalf of deputies, also expressed readiness to assist in solving the problems.
According to him, if necessary, there can be formed a working group of deputies and representatives of the mayor's office.
“Working together should be productive, I believe,” head of the city summed up.
