IV Humanitarian Forum “The Search of Province” opens in Penza

Penza, 26 September 2014. PenzaNews. Fourth Humanitarian Forum “The Search of Province,” which is held under the motto “Marathon of ideas,” began its work in Penza administration building on Friday morning, September 26.

Simultaneously with this event, a large-scale book fair opened.
Several dozen experts from Moscow, Belgorod, Vologda, Samara, Togliatti, Ulyanovsk are recruited to work at the forum.
According to the organizers, the participants will focus on questions of cultural heritage, social entrepreneurship, the development model of modern cities, as well as the work of non-profit organizations.
Representatives of the authorities, the cultural community, businessmen and ordinary citizens try to understand what the potential of regional cultural heritage is, whether it is wasted, and exercise significant influence on the humanitarian space of the region.
Among the stated experts and moderators of the event is executive director of the foundation of Vladimir Potanin Oksana Oracheva; general director of EBM, chairman of the board of the nonprofit partnership “Institute of learning through experience,” co-founder of the National Guild of Fundraisers Evgeny Machnev; executive director of the City Charitable Fund “Fund of Togliatti” Boris Tsyrulnikov; Penza mayor Yuri Krivov; literary critic, essayist Alexander Arkhangelsky; general director of the Social Investment Fund, associate professor of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration Sergei Golubev; adviser to the head of administration of Belgorod Konstantin Kharchenko.
During the forum, guests will have the opportunity to visit the mobile museum of popular science Reactor.
Also, a diorama of “Borodino” will be presented to the participants, on which Penza master worked for almost 2 years. The battlefield is recreated in scale 1:72; 15 sq. meters fit more than 10 thousand figures, buildings, military installations.
It is planned that in the framework of the forum “The Search of Province,” there will be a round table dedicated to city toponymy. It is expected that the participants will discuss the choice of name for the new square near Penza Regional Philharmonic. Due to the ambiguous relationship to the proposed options, the round table is called “Area of resistance.” It will be held at 16:00 on Saturday, September 27.
