Penza prosecutors: Persons with criminal records should not teach in driving schools

Penza, 26 September 2014. PenzaNews. The prosecutor’s office of Leninsky district of Penza found that among persons engaged in educational activities in the autonomous non-profit organization of additional professional education Driving School-Professional, there are people with a criminal record.

“According to Art. 331 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, the teaching activities are not permitted to be conducted by, in particular, persons convicted for premeditated grave or especially grave crimes; and subjected to criminal prosecution for crimes against life and health, freedom, honor and dignity of a person, sexual inviolability and sexual freedom, against family and minors, public health and public morals,” said Yuliya Makarova, Senior Assistant Attorney in media relations of the Penza region.

She clarified that, according to the inspection, among teachers of Driving School-Professional, they identified persons convicted for an intentional felony, as well as for crimes against life and health.

“This eliminates the possibility of their employment in the field of education. The prosecutor of Leninsky district of Penza ordered general director of the driving school to eliminate the violations,” the agency interlocutor said.
