Penza administration discussed architecture of building to be constructed near Legislative Assembly

Penza, 25 December 2014. PenzaNews. Discussion of the draft of a low-rise building to be constructed on Kirova Street near the Legislative Assembly of the region and the military hospital, became one of the main topics of the City Planning Council meeting held in the administration of Penza on Thursday, December 25.

It gathered the architects, representatives of construction companies, investors and city administration employees.
According to the project, the building on Kirova Street, 15B will feature garages, offices and apartments on the upper floors.
The main discussion revolved around the appearance of the building and its part in the general cultural and historical panorama of the area.
Yuri Krivov, head of the city administration, noted that the construction must be planned in detail.
“If we all understand the same situation as I hear it now, then why not have a new building in the historical center of the city to decorate the architectural appearance of Kirova Street,” the mayor said.
After that, Dmitry Polishko, Penza chief architect, proposed to approve the project, but with a few
remarks.
“We shall decide on them along the way,” he said.
Commenting on the results of the meeting, Mikhail Selivanov, chief architect of the proposed project, called them positive.
“I think that everything went very well today. And everyone have shown unanimity. In general, our project has been approved,” he said.
