Cross and cupola of Spassky cathedral erected in Penza
Penza, 29 December 2014. PenzaNews. Bishop Seraphim of Penza and Nizhnelomovsk has conducted a consecration ceremony of the top cross and the central cupola of the Spassky cathedral on Sunday, December 28.

The event was attended by the clergy, as well as representatives of authorities, such as Sergey Pulikovsky the chairman of the Penza regional government, and Alexander Yelatontsev, head of the regional internal policy department.
After the ceremony, the Bishop Seraphim addressed the gathering and stressed the importance of the newly erected cupola of the church. According to him, now the Spassky cathedral looks more completed.
Moreover, he expressed his hope that the speed of construction will not ebb in the new year of 2015.
From the name of the pilgrims who had visited Jerusalem in Autumn the Bishop Seraphim has presented the new cathedral a sanctified cross relic that has been brought along the Way of the Cross in the Holy Land.
According to the press service of the Penza diocese, the holy relic was brought to the Blagovest church with a procession after the cupola decorated with the cross were erected on top of the middle drum of the building.
