This year’s concert tried to emulate the atmosphere of a Soviet film “The Long Recess” that focuses on the life of a school class 10-A and its new headmaster. During the festival, the latter role was assumed by Ekaterina Milenkaya, TV show host at STRBC “Penza.”
The mood of the festival was set by its author and artistic leader, Distinguished Artist of Russia Nina Golubina, who performed a song titled “Your Footprints.”
A remarkable feature of this year's event was its wartime song section dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory in the Second World War.
That part featured the songs “Plane Waltz,” “He Did Not Return From The Fight,” “Crepe-de-chine Waltz,” “Take Your Overcoat (Let’s Go Home),” “Dark Night,” “Cranes, Cranes, Cranes,” “Come Here, Beloved, Dearest Mine,” “Thank You For All, My Friend,” “War Journalists’ Song,” and “Wear Your Medals Proudly.”
The 10th festival featured Alexander Kislov, Ekaterina Borisova, Elena Yumatova with her daughter Nadezhda Goryacheva, Oleg Tkachev, Maxim Tokarev, Olga Darvina, Natalya Sizova, Vladislav Belyakov, Alexander Yakhontov, and other regional journalists.
Among the first-time performers was Vyacheslav Zhukov, editor of PenzaNews agency, who performed a song titled “From The Heroes of Older Times.”
At the end of the performance, Nina Golubina thanked all the journalists who find time to show their artistic skills in spite of heavy work load, and thanked the partners and supporters of the festival.
