The database was developed by “Plyus odin” company on grant funds won by Penza foundation “Helping Hand for Stray Animals” during the “Penza City Upgrade” social projects hackathon in autumn of 2014.

In a nutshell, “In Good Hands” is a catalog where visitors can quickly find a pet on the set parameters of the desired age and gender.

Previously, this information used to be published manually in the official group of foundation “Helping Hand for Stray Animals” through VKontakte social network as a bulk of messages in the news feed section, and searching through the postings was a complicated matter.

The new project also allows to add an animal looking for a new home to the database, by adding a photo and a brief description.

Users can also access the website through tablets and mobile devices.
