Penza, 30 January 2015. PenzaNews. Penza city will hold a series of events on Monday, February 2, to commemorate the victory of Soviet armed forces over the German Reich in the Battle of Stalingrad in 1943.

Penza citizens will be able to pay their respects to the heroes during the wreath-laying ceremony by the military and labor valor monument on Pobedy prospekt, the city Department of Culture informed PenzaNews agency.

It is expected the event will attract authorities, members of civil organizations, patriotic groups and unions, as well as school, university and college students.

The ceremony begins at 12.00 am.
