Penza, 24 February 2015. PenzaNews. Retail prices for medicine that are not included in the list of life-saving and essential medicinal products (LLEMP) grew by 10% in the Penza region compared to December 2014, said the regional Minister of Health Vladimir Stryuchkov during a weekly meeting session in the local government on Tuesday, February 24.

According to him, the situation in the Penza region is monitored on a weekly basis.

“We have held joint audits with the Federal Health Control Service in 15 institutions of Penza and 38 regional institutions from February 18 to February 20. During the analysis of the results, we did not see any statistically significant differences in prices for medicine in Penza and the region,” the minister reported.

However, he drew attention to significant deviations in prices in different cost categories.

“While prices for expensive medical products (above 500 rubles) deviate no more than by 12%, prices for medicinal products around 50 rubles deviated by up to 60%,” Vladimir Stryuchkov noted.
